Brow Lift

A brow lift involves surgically lifting the forehead to restore the eyebrows to their natural position, opening up the eye area. It can dramatically change the look without doing eyelid surgery, although in many instances both should be done for best results. During this procedure, the frown lines can also be softened by surgically removing the muscle that causes them. Patients undergoing this procedure are in the forties and older. Endoscopic Brow Lift

Whereas the old method of brow lift surgery (bicoronal brow lift) left a large scar across the top of the head, along with numbness and hair loss, modern brow lift surgery is done using an endoscope, through tiny incisions in the hairline, resulting in small, hidden scars. The endoscopic brow lift results in a natural appearance with no visible scars.

This procedure takes about one and a half hours and is done in the surgical center or an office surgical suite. Local anesthesia and intravenous sedation or general anesthesia is the preferred anesthetic approach. Patients take about 10-12 days for recovery.
